Made-It Monday - Summer Banner

Hi Friends!

I was away for the 4th and didn't make anything special last week, but this week I am back with a simple and fun SUMMER banner!

My little lady and I went off to Michael's on Friday and got some scrapbook paper and pennant shaped wood pieces.  I had mod podge already!

I traced and cut the scrapbook paper to match the pennant shapes and then mod podged them to the wood shapes.  It was a gorgeous day out, so I left them outside to dry.

Then I used my Cricut to cut out the white shapes.  I felt a little bit like Golidlocks because first I made the shapes too small, and then too big.  But finally I made them just right!  I attached them with pop out stickers so they didn't lay completely flat.

Using some card stock I had lying around I again used the Cricut to make these letters.  I added these with the same pop out tape.

Close up...

The little lady needed to get in on the photo fun!

Don't mind the messy mantle...I attached the pennant pieces with thread and hung it along the mantle.

What do you think?  Interested in making your own?  I would love to hear how it came out!

  3. Oops! I made a boo-boo! Sorry about that! I meant to say that I love your project and I can completely relate to your "goldilocks syndrome"... I however am often too impatient and LAZY to cut again and I try to just make it work or give up haha. Your banner though looks fabulous!

  6. Looks great! I love how you made this on those wooden pieces. Much more durable than just using paper.
