Chilly Willy!!

Did you have a full week this week?  I feel like everyone around the country was off for a few days this week between the cold and the snow.  EXTREME cold here, but no days off.  Instead, we got INDOOR recess all week (except we did get to go out today - THANK GOODNESS!!).  Indoor recess was about to do me in with all of the tattling that was happening!  But then, just when I was ready to chalk it up to a not-so-great week, it all turned around!!  A student I had a L-O-N-G time ago came to visit.  He was in my first grade for 2 years and we really bonded.  He will always be special to me and it was great to see him all grown-up (He's a Freshman in high-school and taller than me!)  His visit reminded me why I do what I do and the happiness that a child's success can bring to me (and them too!)  Happy Friday!!!  I hope you had a great moment of today too!

I just uploaded 4 centers to TPT.  You can buy them separately for $1 each or as a BUNDLE for $3.  Here are the DEETS and links.   I am going to give a BUNDLE away this weekend, so keep reading to find out how...

So I shared with you my feel-good moment of the week.  Share yours in the comments below and leave your email address and I will choose a winner sometime Sunday morning.  I think I will let the HUBS choose the winning entry, since Sunday will be his 33rd b-day!!!  Good Luck!!

  1. My feel-good moment this week was when my DonorsChoose project got fully funded!! I can't wait for my kids to open up a box full of materials for literacy stations! elyseb103@gmail.com

  2. Over the course of nearly two weeks of indoor recess, I was slowly turning into Ms. Viola Swamp. By the time yesterday afternoon hit, I was at my breaking point! In the midst of hollering at the kiddos to get ready and rushing them out the door at 3:20, Julia grabbed a hold of me tightly and whispered, "I love you, Ms. Smith. I am going to miss you sooo much this weekend." Gulp...tear...puddle. Thank you for your generosity and for considering me =). leafsgirl@rogers.com. P.S. Happy Birthday to your hubby!

  3. I teach a special at my school that revolves around Math teaching. My class is least favored by students, as it is up against Physical Education, Music, Media Center/Library, and Art. The kids have to come to my class and do more Math practice. I try my best to make everything fun for the kids so that they will enjoy being in my room more. My feel good moment of the week was one of my first graders looking up at me and saying, "I love coming to your class because I get to play Math games!" It just melted my heart and reassured me that I am doing something enjoyable and educational.

  4. Abbey,

I found your blog on the TPT seller's forum. Your blog is just wonderful! I love the colors and the owl. Adorable. I enjoyed your posts very much as well. I am like you....my blog is pretty new and I have just really started working my TPT store....like about 2 weeks ago...even though I have had the account for a while.

I will go back to your TPT store and follow you. ;) If you have the time, I would appreciate you checking out my blog and/or my TPT store.
